Jeju University Hospital is implementing an online issuance system to allow patients to conveniently receive their personal medical image data.
In particular, the implementation of this advanced system will contribute to the 'Jeju Plastic Zero' policy and promote linkage with the Jeju-style community doctor system pilot project.
Jeju University Hospital (President Choi Kug-myung) announced on the 16th that it had signed a 'HScan solution for online medical image issuance service' contract with HealthHub Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Ki-pung), a medical image solution company, on the 15th and will implement the service.
Jeju University Hospital is the first in Korea to introduce cloud-based HScan, and will fully implement a service that allows patients to apply for and register the issuance of their personal medical images online through the hospital's website and mobile app, regardless of time and place.
This eliminates the inconvenience for patients who previously had to receive a CD containing their medical images.
Jeju University Hospital expects to efficiently integrate and manage medical images and patient medical records, and to interaction with local hospitals and clinics through seamless data linkage.
It is also expected that reducing CD issuance will contribute to the 'Jeju Plastic Zero' policy promoted by Jeju Island. In particular, Jeju University Hospital and HealthHub plan to expand services in connection with the Jeju-style community doctor system pilot project in the future through technical cooperation in web-based public cloud provision, Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
Hospital Director Choi Kug-myung said, "Through the online medical image issuance and registration system pilot project, we have realized patient-centered medical services," and added, "Jeju University Hospital, as a regional leading medical institution, will build a public medical care system and realize Jeju medical autonomy."
