HealthHub announced on the 10th that it has signed a business agreement with Jeju National University Hospital, the leading medical institution in Jeju, to pursue a 'pilot project for establishing an online medical image issuance and registration system (HScan) in the Jeju region.'
HScan, a cloud-based platform, enables patients to conveniently request and receive or register their personal medical images online anytime, anywhere, through the hospital website or mobile app. Previously, patients had to visit medical institutions to receive medical images on CDs. With HScan, hospitals no longer need to create CDs, and patients are relieved of the inconvenience of carrying CDs or requesting reissues due to loss, while also contributing to environmental protection by reducing plastic CD waste.
HealthHub expects that the introduction of the HScan solution will not only improve the convenience and efficiency of Jeju National University Hospital but also activate exchanges between medical institutions, such as referrals, shootings, and examinations, thereby significantly enhancing the level of medical services in the Jeju region centered on Jeju National University Hospital.
In addition to the pilot project for establishing an online medical image issuance and registration system, HealthHub and Jeju National University Hospital have agreed to collaborate on providing a web-based public cloud accessible to hospital staff, as well as technical cooperation on the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and Electronic Medical Record System (EMR).
Choi Guk-myeong, president of Jeju National University Hospital, said, "Through the online medical image issuance and registration system, patients and their families can resolve the inconvenience of having to visit the hospital to receive medical images, and they can also safely and easily exchange medical images with affiliated medical institutions linked to Jeju National University Hospital, which is expected to improve services in all aspects of medical treatment, such as referrals, shootings, and examinations." He added, "Through this pilot project, Jeju National University Hospital will strive to play a greater role in improving medical services in the Jeju region."
Kim Ki-pung, CEO of HealthHub, said, "HealthHub has been dedicated to developing medical image and medical AI-related services with the goal of improving patient convenience and contributing to the provision of patient-centered medical services. We will actively cooperate with Jeju National University Hospital, which is responsible for the health of Jeju residents and is striving to realize medical autonomy in Jeju, to create a healthy Jeju with the best medical services."
Founded in 2012, HealthHub is a small but powerful company actively engaged in the medical image and medical AI fields, including developing cloud-based medical image platforms and AI, and participating in the 'K-Health National Medical AI Service and Industrial Ecosystem Construction' project in Gwangju Metropolitan City.
